Christian Eriksen sends warning to Rasmus Hojlund and makes prediction about Man United striker

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has warned Rasmus Hojlund that he will need to adapt quickly to the Premier League but thinks the young striker has the quality to do so.

Hojlund joined United from Atalanta earlier this month for a fee that could be as much as £72million. The 20-year-old is seen as a hot prospect but has been unable to make his debut for the Reds due to injury.

The Dane has caused quite a stir on the international scene having scored six goals in his first six games for Denmark. Hojlund met Eriksen on international duty and the United midfielder is expecting big things from his compatriot.

In an interview with United's official website, the former Tottenham man said: "He’s a guy who holds his ground. He doesn’t back down from anything.

"He’s really a front-foot guy, who is aggressive and really attack-minded. But, at the same time, a nice guy outside of football.

"I will definitely [pass my experience of the Premier League on] but he will definitely see it for himself," Eriksen added. "The Premier League is different compared to any other league he’s been at before.

"So he’s going to have to adapt. But I’m sure he will adapt quickly."

The arrival of Hojlund means there are now two Danes in the United squad. Old Trafford has been home to some brilliant Danish players in the past and Eriksen says it cannot be understated how much this means to his homeland.

"I know it’s been a massive, massive thing and still is," he added. "Obviously, it’s going to explode even more when he is going to have his debut.

"I’m happy there’s another Dane at United who can show off the Danish flag."
