Christian Eriksen responds to Man United interest as McClaren’s verdict on Rashford resurfaces

Here are your morning Manchester United headlines for Wednesday, June 15.

Christian Eriksen has confirmed he will not rush a decision on his future this summer.

Eriksen has been linked with a transfer to United. Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at last summer's European Championship and he departed Inter Milan following that incident, but he made his comeback to football this year.

The midfielder signed a six-month deal with Brentford in January, joining fellow countryman Thomas Frank in London. Eriksen contributed one goal and four assists in 11 appearances for Brentford, and he proved that he retained his talent.

United assistant manager Steve McClaren questioned the attitude of attacker Marcus Rashford earlier this year, as the club gears up for the start of their pre-season preparations.

United will get their pre-season preparations under way on June 27, with players who have not been on international duty reporting back to the club's Carrington training base.

That will include Rashford, who was not named in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad for the Three Lions' crop of four UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The start of pre-season will mark the beginning of a new era at Old Trafford, with new manager Erik ten Hag tasked with turning the club's fortunes around, alongside assistants Mitchell van der Gaag and McClaren.
