Cho Gue sung in veiled Celtic transfer swipe as he explains exit stance after 'dedicated' Midtjylland switch

Former Celtic target Cho Gue-Sung has declared that Midtjylland's "dedication" to a deal saw him sign for the Danish side over other potential suitors.

The comments come after his agent claimed interest had gone cold in Europe over the striker and that the Jeonbuk frontman's move to Europe was off until sporting director Park Ji-sung stepped in. Cho was on Celtic 's radar in January after catching the eye at the World Cup, but would opt to remain in the K-League to focus on his fitness levels and pursue a summer transfer to European football.

Following the arrival of Hyeongyu Oh as well as the departure of Ange Postecoglou, the Scottish Premiership champions opted not to follow up their interest in the South Korean international.
