Chiefs coach confident of upturn in form: 'We are not going to fix everything at once'

Following their 2-1 win over SuperSport United, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane is hopeful the performance was a step in the right direction. 

"When you look at the balance of play, when you look at the performance of that game, I think we did very well," Zwane told reporters.

"We were just unfortunate to concede a goal early and we didn't take our chances. You can see positive signs; we are on the right track.

"We want to win every game we play, not that this game was a must-win for us; every game is a must-win for us.

"We have to build on something, we are a work in progress. For us to get things right, we have to do one thing right [at a time].

"We are not saying we are going to win all the games, but we have to make sure when people come to FNB Stadium they [know they] are coming to Kaizer Chiefs, and they are coming to drop points or to donate points.

"That's where we should start, we are not going to fix everything at once, but we will take one step at a time."

Chiefs' opponents, SuperSport United, came into the game in a vein of rich form as they were unbeaten in their last three league games.

After taking an early lead courtesy of Grant Margeman, it looked like that run would continue.

However, Amakhosi fought back as Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana scored a brace to give Chiefs all three points.

With this victory, Zwane feels this game could boost his side.

"We needed this game to boost our confidence and I think now going forward we are going to obviously make sure that we don't concede," said Zwane.

"But score more goals."

Scoring goals has been the Achilles heal for Chiefs this season.

Before the game against SuperSport, Chiefs scored a meagre five goals in the league.
