Nate Diaz admits he could fight Jake Paul in a boxing match

Nate Diaz has confirmed that a possible boxing match against Jake Paul is on the table.

In the main event of UFC 279 earlier this month, Nate Diaz submitted Tony Ferguson on short notice to ensure he finished off his run with the company in the right way. The Stockton king put on a real show for the fans in Las Vegas and although he didn’t get a chance to prove himself against Khamzat Chimaev, some would argue he wound up with the best possible scenario as he got the job done against a big name and has been able to maintain a strong relationship with Dana White and the UFC.

The bout was the final fight on Diaz’s deal which means, as of right now, he’s currently a free agent.

The combat sports space is pretty strange in 2022 but it’s also quite diverse, to the point whereby we could picture Nate going to a handful of different places.

BKFC, pro wrestling and other MMA promotions are all on the table, but the leading contender seems to be a stint in professional boxing.

Diaz is known for his unique stand-up and he wants to test himself inside the squared circle, most likely against a big name opponent.

During a recent backstage interview at Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin 3, Diaz spoke candidly about what the future holds.

“I been waiting to get in a boxing ring for 15 years anyway, it’s cool.

When asked about who he’d like to face when he gets in there, Diaz had an interesting response.

“The best boxer they can come up with. I’ll fight anybody.

“I think they’re going to play me down like I’m not a boxer, but if they do they’re scared anyway, I don’t give a f***. I was stuck in a cage, I would’ve been boxing the whole time and if I wasn’t getting kicked in the leg, my boxing would look a lot more crisp anyway. Whatever
