Chelsea plot Jadon Sancho swap deal as Man United close in on fifth summer transfer

Chelsea and Juventus are exploring a deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Sports. The 24-year-old travelled to Brighton for their second Premier League match of the season on Saturday, but was left out of the squad.

Speculation has risen over his future at Old Trafford despite Erik ten Hag 'drawing a line' under their furious row which saw him exiled and sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of last season. Sancho featured off the bench in the Community Shield but hasn't featured in the top flight thus far.

And now, Sancho could leave United before the end of the window with Chelsea and Juventus both showing interest. It's understood that Chelsea's proposal could include a player going the other way. Juventus, on the other hand, want to sign the England international on loan. United prefer to let Sancho leave on a permanent deal but loan has not been ruled out.

Elsewhere, United have reportedly reached an agreement with Serie A side Napoli to sign Scott McTominay. The Athletic have reported that a £25.4million deal has been agreed but the proposal is subject to all parties being satisfied with the player's personal terms. The report adds that United have included a clause which will see them receive a share of any future sale from Antonio Conte's side.

The Scotland international is into the final 12 months of his current deal at Old Trafford, with the option of a further year, but the prospect of a departure for the 27-year-old will see United bank pure profit in the eyes of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

A deal for McTominay is expected to sanction the arrival of Manuel Ugarte
