Chatham Town manager Kevin Hake looks ahead to Kent Senior Cup semi-final against Tonbridge Angels
Boss Kevin Hake is calling for Chatham Town fans to come out in force for their Kent Senior Cup semi-final home tie tonight.
Promotion-chasing Chats, sitting third in Isthmian Premier after a 3-0 weekend win at Burgess Hill as two-goal Junior Dixon and Sam Sene-Richardson did the damage, will welcome National League South side Tonbridge Angels to the Bauvill Stadium, with a cup final spot up for grabs.
Chatham have already seen off Beckenham (4-1), Erith Town (3-1) and Bromley (2-1) to reach this stage while Alan Dunne’s mid-table Angels, who are on a three-game winning league run, have got past Sittingbourne (4-1) and Gillingham (4-3) on their way to the final four.
“They are another side enjoying a good run of results so we know it will be a tough and competitive fixture,” said Hake on Tonbridge.
“Cup games always bring a special atmosphere and, with a place in the final at stake, we’d love to see as many supporters as possible come down and get behind the players.
“The backing we receive at home makes a huge difference, and nights like this are what football at our level is all about.”
Maidstone await the winners after they saw off fellow National League South side Ebbsfleet 4-0 through Deon Moore’s hat-trick and a goal from David Sesay.
It will be a free-entry fixture for under-16s, adult tickets costing £12 and concessions being charged £8.
