Charlton Athletic reportedly closing in on signing from Ipswich Town
Charlton Athletic have seen a bid accepted for Ipswich Town player Scott Fraser as they look to bring him to The Valley from Portman Road before the deadline this evening.
The January market is in its final throes and the Addicks have been fairly busy with the likes of Chuks Aneke returning and Juan Castillo joining on loan from Chelsea.
Johnnie Jackson is not done yet in his first market in charge of the club, though, with him now looking to bring in Fraser from Ipswich Town, as per Andy Warren of the EADT:
#itfc have accepted an offer from Charlton for Scott Fraser.
He's talking terms with the Addicks today and could move before the transfer deadline.https://t.co/xBVdcRu8B0

The report reveals that the Addicks’ initial offer for the player had been rejected but a fresh bid was made by the club and Ipswich have since deemed it acceptable, with Fraser now set for a potentially swift exit from the club.
The Verdict
Fraser is a fine player at this level and Jackson may well have it imprinted in his mind the performance that he put in for MK Dons last season against Charlton where he ran the show at The Valley.
He’s perhaps not hit the heights expected of him at Ipswich since joining them in the summer from MK but there is no doubting his talent and if Jackson can get him into form, that will considerably boost Charlton’s attacking output.
It could, potentially, be a really good signing for the Addicks if it pays off.
