Championship round-up: Cannon on target for Preston, Burnley move closer to title

Ireland u-21 attacker Tom Cannon scored his seventh league goal of the season as he helped Preston to a 2-1 win over Reading at Deepdale.

Cannon, currently at Preston on loan from Everton, earned his first U21 call-up last month for a friendly with Iceland and scored in the 2-1 win that boosted their play-off hopes.
