Champions League final: Kick off time and how to watch on TV and online

Millions of football fans have been waiting for Liverpool’s face-off match with Real Madrid at the UEFA Champions League final this weekend.

For those not lucky enough to have one of approximately 70,000 tickets to the Stade de France on Saturday, this is how you can watch the game on your TV or online.

The two teams will go head-to-head in the final match of the season at 8pm UK time and 9pm local time on Saturday.

Liverpool and Real Madrid will be playing in the Stade de France, which is based just outside of Paris in Saint-Germain.

BT Sport is the official Champions League broadcaster in the UK and will show the game live, meaning paying subscribers will need to head to BT Sport 1 or BT Sport HD for coverage of the game.

Fortunately for Virgin Media subscribers, their usual paid-for BT Sport channels will become free for the duration of the game on Saturday.

The BT Sport app will also show the Champions League final for free on several devices and games consoles, including Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Fire TV, Android TV, NOW, Roku, Xbox One (X and S), and Playstations 4 and 5.

The final is also set to be shown for free through the BT Sport website and on YouTube.

With news that two key Liverpool players have largely recovered from their injuries and are in contention for the final, the team’s fans are in high spirits.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: ‘The odds certainly suggest Liverpool are the ones to beat in Paris, and while our traders are seemingly convinced it’ll be another European trophy for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, punters actually think the opposite, with the majority of money taken so far being in favour of the Spanish outsiders.’
