Real Madrid have issued a strong statement calling for answers from UEFA after their supporters were left "helpless and defenceless" at the Champions League final in Paris.
The Spanish giants have demanded to know why Paris was chosen to host the final against Liverpool, with several of their fans reporting that they were robbed and needed hospital treatment following clashes with locals after the match.
Much of the focus has been on the actions and experiences of Liverpool supporters at the final, with many wrongly jumping to the conclusion that they were to blame for the delay to the kick-off and issues around the ground.
However, Real's statement makes clear that their fans also experienced several problems.
"Given the unfortunate events that took place on May 28 in the vicinity and entrances to the Stade de France, including inside the stadium itself, Real Madrid CF would like to state the following in defence of our supporters who were victims of these events," said the club.
"1. We want to know what were the reasons that motivated that designation of the venue of the final and what criteria were taken into consideration taking into account what happened that day.
"2. Likewise, we ask for answers and explanations that determine who was
