Celtic transfer state of play on Kuhn and Araujo as goalkeeper situation sees two big options high on agenda

Nicolas Kuhn has arrived to finalise his £3 million move to Celtic.

The Hoops have agreed a fee with Rapid Vienna and given their attacker permission to open talks. Kuhn and his representatives had agreed terms on a long-term deal and he has now flown to London to complete his pending switch. The 24-year-old will go through his medical tomorrow before he travels north to join up with Brendan Rodgers' squad. German Kuhn could come into contention to make his debut against Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup on Sunday. Rodgers and his medical team will make that decision after they put him through his paces at Lennoxtown.

Celtic's recruitment team are still working on a number of other targets. Estoril's Tiago Araujo is on that list but it remains to be seen if a fee can be agreed, with Benfica due 50 percent of any transfer fee. A left-back remains a priority and they are also looking closely at the goalkeeping situation. Ukrainian international Andriy Lunin of Real Madrid remains on Celtic's radar, while Liverpool keeper Caoimhim Kelleher has also been linked.
