Celtic transfer news bulletin as major Kelleher boost emerges and star for the future could leave for NOTHING

Daniel Kelly could leave Celtic on a pre-contract agreement in January - with talks over a new deal at Parkhead showing no signs of progress.

The talented 18-year-old made six first team outings for Brendan Rodgers' men last season, scoring in the 7-0 win against Dundee. But with less than 12 months remaining on Kelly's contract Fabrizio Romano reports that the two parties are yet to come to an agreement over a contract extension for the Scotland U19 international, leaving the door open for him to speak to other teams in the new year. Romano adds that a number of top European clubs are keeping tabs on the situation, including Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.

It comes just days after fellow Hoops teen Rocco Vata opted to move on under a freedom of contract agreement to Watford down south, although Celtic did receive around £237,000 in development compensation. Midfielder Vata had also been tracked by sides in both Serie A and Serie B in Italy.

Brendan Rodgers' men are working hard to try and get permanent deals for loan stars Adam Idah and Paulo Bernardo over the line, but one area of the pitch that desperately needs addressed is in goal.
