Celtic transfer bulletin as Harrison Burrows update emerges and Genk up the ante on Oh

Genk are back at the negotiating table with an improved transfer offer for Celtic forward Oh, according to reports in Belgium.

The Belgian Pro League side have held talks with the Hoops over a move for the 23-year-old, who only joined the champions from South Korean outfit Suwon Samsung Bluewings for £2.5million in January 2023. Initial reports had claimed that the two clubs had agreed a deal that would see Celtic bank £1million in profit for Oh, who scored five times in 26 matches in all competitions last season.

However, according to Belgian outlet HLN Sport, no fee has been agreed and Genk have in fact upped their bid to land the forward, who has won 11 caps at senior level for South Korea. Should Oh depart, it would leave Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers with Kyogo as his only recognised striker at Parkhead, but the injection of cash could see Celtic step up their attempts to sign Norwich's Adam Idah on a permanent basis following an impressive loan spell during the second half of last season.

Another area where Irishman Rodgers will be looking to strengthen in this summer is at left back, having missed out on Liverpool's Owen Beck back in January after he was loaned to Dundee again. And another reported target now appears to have slipped away. Since last January, the Premiership and Scottish Cup winners are one of several clubs to be credited with an interest in Peterborough United defender Harrison Burrows.
