Celtic star 'high' on Leicester City transfer wish list
Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley is reportedly "high" on the transfer wish list at Leicester City.
The 21-year-old joined Celtic in January this year in a £1.5 million move from MK Dons, where he spent 18 months playing in League One following his release by Fulham.
He is now said to be on Leicester's radar, with Chelsea defender Levi Colwill and PSV winger Noni Madueke also high on City's list of targets.
The Telegraph report: "Chelsea's highly-regarded defender Levi Colwill, PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke and Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley are high on Leicester's list but everything is on hold at this stage."
If O'Riley were to join City, he would likely command a significant fee as he is only six months into a four-and-a-half-year contract at Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers does want two central midfielders, though, and the young player would fit the bill for Rodgers and his coaching staff.
O'Riley is a Denmark under-21 international but has also represented England at youth level. He won the EFL Young Player of the Month award in November 2021 and bagged the Scottish Premiership Goal of the Month gong five months later.
