Celtic news latest as Oh and Yang could play under Steve Bruce as Hoops transfers 'not Brendan Rodgers' type'

Celtic pair Oh and Yang could play under a former English Premier League boss with South Korea.

Steve Bruce, who has had dugout spells at the likes of Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Wigan and West Brom, is interested in taking over the top international job after Jurgen Klinsmann was axed last week after falling short in the Asian Cup.

The 63-year-old has been out of work since he left the Hawthorns in October 2022 but a source has confirmed the international gig is one that ticks the boxes but he also has interest from a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia. A host of big name players and managers have taken that route in recent times including former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard. A source said: “It’s a position that definitely appeals to Steve. He’s high on the list of a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia as well so he is assessing his options."

Meanwhile, Lee McCulloch reckons Celtic's recent recruits are NOT Brendan Rodgers' type of players and he is either hanging himself out to dry for the board or making the point that he didn't fancy them in the first place.
