Celtic fend off 'serious' transfer interest from Premier League giant as starlet set to sign Hoops contract amid
Celtic have reportedly fought off interest from English Premier League powerhouse Arsenal to keep East Kilbride's Daniel Kelly.
The EK teenager - who's godfather is Hoops hero Scott McDonald - is a highly-rated prospect at Parkhead and has attracted interest.
Arsenal had watched Kelly in action and, according to Football Scotland, 'presented the option to their financial team with a view to making an official move.'
He has been on the radar of many clubs but Arsenal were the first to make an official approach.
It's reported that Kelly will opt to remain at Parkhead and will pen his first professional deal with Celtic, after turning 16 in October.
EK's exciting football teen has featured for the club's 'B' team in the Lowland League but has been out of action in recent weeks.
