Celtic fans have it all wrong about their 'killer' secret weapon but these 2 summer signings are a MUST

Andy Walker reckons the Celtic fans who think they need an upgrade on Greg Taylor would miss his 'killer' instinct if he left.

But the pundit does believe two signings in particular are essential this summer if the Hoops are to make a step up in Europe. It's been an up and down season for Celtic so far and one that could end in a double as they hold a three-point Premiership lead over Rangers and face their rivals in a Scottish Cup final on May 25.

Matt O'Riley has arguably been their player of the season but Walker reckons fans are missing Taylor's importance. There is a feeling among some fans that left-back could be strengthened but former striker Walker believes their incumbent in that position is undervalued by some punters. He said on Go Radio: “I like him. I know there is a section of the Celtic support that would much rather have just a different name, a different left back and is not happy about his level of performance. I think he’s still got it. I think he’s got a lot to offer and I think he’s a type of full-back that completes some real killer passes.

“And I’m not talking about a pass from the middle of the park out wide to a winger. I’m talking about a ball inside the box that a striker can run onto and finish first time. He’s got the ability. He’s played there at an earlier stage of his career. He knows what it takes to play a killer pass. I think he does it often.”
