Celtic fans give Rangers reminder of source of ticket bickering as Ibrox legions see one advantage of lockout - Hotline

The Celtic Park ticket allocation for Rangers' visit on December 30 was the hottest topic and it's no great surprise that both halves of the divide were on opposite sides of the argument.

Eddie Easson, Ballingry, Fife, said: "Let’s not forget where the slashed ticket allocation started. Dave King’s greed for more money from the supporters. Let’s not forget the missile throwing incident at Ibrox when fans were pelted and a backroom member was seriously hurt. If Rangers want to come to Celtic Park then get back to the way it was."

Stuart McLeod, Stepps, countered with: "After the ticket allocation decision and Celtic denying visiting fans entry shows us all who really calls the shots in Scottish football. The smaller allocation suits the Rangers fans as it means less people in restricted view seats with coins and condoms full of urine raining down on them. For years Celtic fans were afforded the luxury of unrestricted views and a whole stand to themselves whilst we had to endure 2800 seats stuck in a corner with huge steel posts blocking any kind of view. Celtic fans want a fair share - the same thing we have been asking for since the new Celtic Park was constructed."

Dougie Munro emailed: "You can bet you bottom dollar that after Celtic refused to give Rangers a ticket allocation, the Green Brigade will be welcomed back for that game."
