Celtic fan in Hotline rage fest about Mr Cocky – marquee star branded a myth as diehard refuses to happy clap

Pittodrie punters are chanting about the crack at Celtic after the international break and Hotline callers are starting to believe an Aberdeen title charge could be on after all. At last hopefully the top flight of Scottish football will have a more competitive look to it as our top league has been berated and ridiculed for too long by our English neighbours.”

But Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: “How refreshing it was for Aberdeen fans chanting "bring on Celtic" we’re going to win the league and with Jimmy Thelin. saying they won't change their style of play against Celtic? Word of warning though Jimmy, remember Brendan Rodgers said something similar when we went up against another Champions League team recently and the rest is history.”

Celtic and Rangers both won at the weekend but supporters of both had some grumbles. Gerard Milligan, Renfrewshire, said: “I think everybody was too heavy in early praise of Arne Engels.
