We are so sorry Kevin Muscat – Rangers fans stage Hotline intervention as they beg scorned boss for a second chance

The half time banner at Rugby Park might have dubbed Philippe Clement a scapegoat. But after another miserable defeat in Ayrshire, Hotline callers are now convinced the Rangers boss and his Ibrox career is a dead duck.

Jamie Thompson, Yoker, said; “Clement was never the right manager for Rangers and his signings were never right. These players don't understand Scottish football. Look at other clubs, their players fight for every ball and are in your face. Rangers players are soft, no fight and have no bottle . If Rangers lose on Thursday then Clement should be sacked Friday. Kevin Muscat should have been manager.”

Stephen Mulhern, Dumbarton, said: “Many pundits are predicting Rangers’ fixture at Pittodrie will decide Clement’s future but I disagree and I think he will be nervously checking the directors box during this week’s Euro tie to check if a certain Kevin Muscat is in attendance.” Ian Renton emailed: “Normally I would get really annoyed when Rangers lose a game but the loss to Kilmarnock did not bother me at all. I can only assume that I am getting used to the boring tactics that Clement uses and I no longer expect to win every game. I could not see where a goal was coming from, and as others have said there is no tempo to their play.
