Celtic fan doorsteps Philippe Clement at Rangers training base as he asks 'I thought he was coming?'

A cockyCeltic fan turned up at the Rangers Training Centre believing the Philippe Clement Rangers revival has stuttered to the point their rivals are no longer coming for them.

The Belgian took the mess he inherited from Michael Beale and turned the Ibrox club into bonafide title challengers and it looked like they were going into the home straight in the Scottish Premiership driving seat. That was until they were sent packing from Dingwall with no points by Ross County, before drawing a blank against Dundee when it finally got played at the third attempt.

That leaves Brendan Rodgers' side top of the pile with a three point cushion and a five goal advantage on Gers. The final Old Firm clash of the season at Parkhead on May 11 is shaping up to be pivotal, and a first derby win for Clement would put Rangers right back in contention going into the final week of the campaign.

But one Celtic supporter, who clearly fancies himself as a bit of a comedian, is convinced the Clement challenge is already done. And in this day and age when social media clout means folk will do all sorts of bizarre things in the name of content, rocking up to Rangers' Auchenhowie training base at 11.30 at night to ask the security guard if "Big Phil is in" to set up an admittedly niche punchline is probably at the tamer end of the scale.

Fan: "Is big Phil in?"

Security guard: "What?"

Fan: "Clement?"

Security guard: "Ah cannae hear ye"

Fan: "Is big Phil in?"

Security guard: "At hauf eleven at night?"

Fan: "I need to speak to him. Is he in?"

Security guard: "Haha naw mate naw."

Fan: "Ah heard he was comin' an' aw."
