Philippe Clement echoes Rangers gripe from Michael Beale as one brutal Ibrox truth emerges

Irked Philippe Clement reckons he has been pulled in too many different directions at Rangers so far - as Michael Beale found an alibi in the Belgian boss.

The Belgian has been dissecting the Light Blues failure to dethrone Celtic this season while Callum McGregor and his teammates prepare for a title party in Glasgow's east end following the full-time whistle against St Mirren on Saturday. Brendan Rodgers' men made it three consecutive Scottish Premiership titles in a row - with the Hoops landing a 12th title in the last 13 years - with the win over Kilmarnock leaving Clement facing tough questions.

And while he has admitted that the club now need a massive rebuild this summer with six players out of contract and several loan signings due to follow them out of the door. However, the Rangers boss also wanted to see the Ibrox board distribute his workload for the next campaign with a busy summer transfer window ahead.

Speaking before the last game of the season against Hearts, Clement said: "There are several things I want to change but we are in talks about that in the club. I think for the moment I am doing too much in different [areas] so it needs to be better delegated in the club."

Those comments are eerily similar to the loaded comments Beale made about his tenure at Ibrox after being unveiled as the Sunderland boss - claiming he had been "pulled in different places." The Londoner said in December last year: "Well, I went into QPR as a head coach and originally went into Rangers in the same role.
