Only Scottish football fans could see their temperatures rise when the game of the day WASN'T played as the clash between Dundee and Rangers sunk without trace at a drenched Dens Park.
The Premiership doesn't conform to the norm and on this het-up instalment of the Hotline no one was spared. Claims range from Rangers not actually wanting to play to Dundee deserving being docked points - it's wild out there and the natives are restless with Philippe Clement's side now behind Celtic in the title race but with a game to spare. So everyone took Sunday's call-off with good grace, right? Er, wrong, very wrong indeed.
Stuart McLeod, Stepps, weighed in: "Premiership match called off an hour and a half prior to kick off is another embarrassing look for the game north of the border. 45 minutes into my trip to Dens before any information about the call off. Surely if there was any doubt supporters should get told prior to setting off there may be a doubt. Each time you think the game up here can't look anymore amateurish there is always another embarrassment around the corner. I wonder what Sky TV make of the short notice and how this will affect any future deals."
