CCTV appeal after man glassed in the neck in pub

Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to after a man was glassed in a pub in Rochdale.

Officers and paramedics were called to the scene of the incident on Halifax Road at around 10.50pm last Thursday (August 17). Police said a 'man had been hit by a glass'.

He suffered cuts to his neck and was treated on the scene. No arrests have been made yet.

Officers said they believe the man captured in the CCTV image 'might hold key information' about what happened. They issued a direct appeal to him to come forward, with anyone who recognises him also urged to get in touch.

Detective Sergeant John Dineen said: "I am now appealing to the man pictured and the public for their help in identifying this individual, who, might hold key information to what happened on that evening. We have followed up multiple lines of enquiry, but unfortunately, we have had no luck in arresting the suspected culprit.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 8519 quoting log number 4199 of 17/08/23 or the independent charity - Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
