Casemiro ‘makes decision’ on Manchester United future and more transfer rumours

Casemiro will not entertain a January exit from Manchester United, according to reports. Speculation about his future had been circulating over the past few days amid suggestions that Saudi clubs could make a move for the 31-year-old.

CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs says Al-Hilal are taking a look at the Brazilian, although adds that a summer approach is more likely. Furthermore, he claims the player is not interested in a move mid-season, anyway.

An exit for the United midfielder looks quite unlikely given his displays last term and the fact he arrived just over a year ago. Casemiro was handed a five-year deal at Old Trafford and would be unlikely to give it up so easily given his age.

The pivot is currently out injured for the rest of 2023 after sustaining a hamstring problem in the League Cup defeat to Newcastle last month. He struggled to live up his high levels of last season this campaign prior to his setback but is still valued as an integral part of Erik ten Hag’s setup.

Meanwhile, AS (via Sport Witness) says Goncalo Inacio has a preference on a move to United. The Sporting Lisbon defender is attracting a lot of attention from Premier League clubs after a promising start to the season.
