Cardiff v Benetton Live: Kick-off time and score updates as Halaholo returns for URC opener

Cardiff Rugby begin their United Rugby Championship campaign today as they take on Benetton at Cardiff Arms Park.

The hosts have welcomed back centre Uilisi Halaholo for the league opener, after the 33-year-old signed a new short-term contract with the region on the eve of the match. The signing, which sees him reignite his long-term centre partnership with Rey Lee-Lo, comes months after he ruptured his Achilles to spark fears that his career in Wales was over.

New Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt has selected "a competitive team" for the first game of the season, handing a debut to South African outside-half Tinus de Beer, with Wales internationals including Rhys Carré, Keiron Assiratti and Teddy Williams all involved.
