Cardiff City transfers news Live: Bluebirds up the ante in search for striker in final hours of window

Deadline day has arrived at Cardiff City with strikers very much on the wishlist.

New boss Sabri Lamouchi not only has recruitment on his mind but a massive match against Luton Town this evening to consider. It's hardly ideal timing but that's the way the fixtures have fallen.

Cardiff are unable to sign players for fees at present so the frees and loan market will be targeted, and we understand two incomings at the top end of the pitch are high up on the agenda.

Lamouchi said last week he hoped for "one or two nice surprises" before the window closes and supporters will share his wishes. As for outgoings, it's unlikely we'll see much movement before tonight's deadline.
