Cardiff City transfer headlines as hopes grow over Ryan Giles return and Bournemouth eye star man Kieffer Moore

Cardiff are growing increasingly hopeful of sealing a return for Ryan Giles this month.

Bluebirds boss Steve Morison has made little secret of his desire to bring Giles back to the capital, and it's understood the club remain optimistic about their chances of sealing a move.

Giles was recalled back to Molineux earlier this month, and was even named on the bench three times for Wolves, but is free to make a return to Cardiff as he didn't actually play a single minute.

Interest has come from several Championship clubs, but Cardiff insiders are hopeful that they have done enough to convince him to come back to south Wales.

A return for the 21-year-old would come as a huge boost for City, with the wide-man's tally of nine assists placing him in the top three most creative players in the second tier.

City are without a league win in their last six outings under Morison and remain perilously close to the relegation zone.

Bournemouth are working on a move to snap up Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore.

The Cherries are understood to have shown a keen interest in the Wales striker, whose future at the Cardiff City Stadium looks increasingly uncertain.

Moore, who netted 20 goals in the Championship last season, was the subject of interest from Wolves over the summer, only for the Premier League outfit to baulk at Cardiff's £10m price tag.

That valuation is, according to sources, likely to be much lower this time around, although an exact figure remains unclear at this stage.
