Canada women clinch berth in LA 2028 with semifinal win at flag football world championships
Canada's women have clinched a berth in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games after a 20-6 semifinal win over world No. 1 Mexico at the flag football world championships in Germany on Saturday.
Canada held Mexico scoreless in the first half, leading 13-0 at halftime.
Quarterback Sara Parker threw for 107 yards with three touchdown passes against Mexico, including two to Caroline Moquin-Joubert. Canada's defense did their part as well with Catherine Gaumont making two interceptions.
The Canadian women's team will face the U.S. on Sunday for the championship.
