Canada’s Sophia Jensen adds silver to go with gold at canoe sprint worlds in Poland
Canada added three more medals to its haul at the 2026 ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships in Poznań, with Sophia Jensen and Brianna Hennessy each claiming their second medal of the competition and the women's C4 crew securing bronze.
Jensen raced to silver in the women's C1 200m, adding a second podium finish to the gold she captured earlier in the championships. The result caps an outstanding Worlds for the Canadian paddler, who has now collected two medals in Poznań.
Hennessy also returned to the podium, winning silver in the women's VL2 200m. Following her bronze earlier in the competition, the Canadian paracanoe athlete leaves Poznań with two medals from two races.
Canada's women's C4 crew of Katie Vincent, Zoe Wojtyk, Sloan MacKenzie and Elizabeth Desrosiers-McArthur completed the medal haul with bronze in the C4 500m.
