'Can't be letting that happen!' - John Stones says Man City will end Liverpool FC quadruple hopes

Manchester City are targeting an unprecedented double-treble this season after already winning two trophies - but Liverpool could still end the season with more silverware in Jurgen Klopp's final campaign.

Klopp announced he will step down at Liverpool at the end of the season, and he led his side to the Carabao Cup last weekend with an injury-time win over Chelsea. That keeps Liverpool on course to complete a domestic treble, as they are in the FA Cup quarter-finals and lead City at the top of the Premier League.

And with Liverpool in the Europa League last-16, they are not hiding their ambition to win a quadruple - even if it wouldn't include the Champions League. Liverpool can still stop City from winning the league and FA Cup, but City defender John Stones insists "we can't let that happen."

City travel to Liverpool next weekend in a title-race showdown that will have a significant bearing on the destination of this season's Premier League trophy. And with Klopp's future adding a new dimension to the run-in, Stones has told the Times how his side are motivated by a relentless pursuit of picking up trophies.

"Oh no. Can't be letting that happen!" he said of Klopp leaving Anfield with four more trophies this summer. "Arsenal, Liverpool, the teams that have been pushing us and us pushing them for the trophies, it's working in our favour. We've got to be better. It's healthy competition.

"It's hunger. Do everything, have no regrets. Look, at the end of my career, which is hopefully a long time away, I want to look back and see
