Calvin Bassey sends jubilant Rangers transfer message as Dujon Sterling told 'we are the people' after Ibrox move

Calvin Bassey has congratulated Dujon Sterling on his arrival at Rangers with the club's famous quotes.

The Nigerian international left Ibrox last summer in a club-record deal to Ajax , but has kept the club that took a chance on him following a stint in the Leicester City youth ranks close to his heart. And he's been delighted by their latest signing, right-back Sterling after he brought a lengthy stint with Chelsea to an end after time on loan at Stoke City.

He comes in to push captain James Tavernier for a starting XI berth and has received a warm well done from Bassey. Taking to his Instagram page, the Ajax defender called upon the famous 'We are the Famous' message to tell Sterling 'all the best bro #WATP.' The initial Instagram post from Michael Beale's new Rangers recruit read: "Excited to join this amazing club with the most incredible fans! I can’t wait for the season ahead!"

After debuting for Chelsea in 2017, the full-back has spent time on loan at Coventry, Wigan, Blackpool and Stoke. He is the second signing of Beale's rebuild after Kieran Dowell came in from Norwich City.
