Callum McGregor stunner caps sizzling Celtic victory as hapless Hibs swept away again - 3 talking points

It's two from two for Celtic as a Sunday stroll in the capital saw them maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.

Hibs kept theirs up too, meaning it's no points and no goals to kick-off David Gray's maiden campaign in the Easter Road dugout. It took Celtic less than three minutes to go in front and it was with their first attack. Kyogo should have played in Nicolas Kuhn, but opted to shoot instead. Bursik saved well, but Forrest was first to the rebound and squared for Kuhn, who won't have a simpler finish all season.

Before 20 minutes were up, it was 2-0. Callum McGregor showed Scotland what they'll be missing, unleashing an unstoppable swerving effort into the far corner and putting the champions firmly in control. Moments later, Warren O'Hara was thankful a clumsy clearance came back off the bar rather than land in the Hibees' net for 3-0.

The post denied McGregor a second shortly after the break as a deflection left Bursik rooted and the rebound from Kuhn had enough pressure on it to ensure he couldn't claim his second of the afternoon. Celtic either didn't feel the need, or just couldn't manage to get out of second gear for the remainder. Good chances were passed up but there was a definite drop in intensity. Hibs showed minuscule signs of being encouraged by that, but nothing to cause any real concern, with the champions' biggest danger complacency on their own part.

Cameron Carter-Vickers was almost punished for it as the game ambled towards stoppage time. Hibs new boy Kieron Bowie showed his strength to beat the American to an aimless ball and fired at goal from a tight angle, only to see it clip the bar and fly out on the far side.

Nicolas Kuhn didn't exactly light it up when he arrived last January.
