Burst water main shuts seven Cardiff schools and leaves homes without water - live updates
A major burst water pipe in Cardiff has led to seven schools in the city being closed. A large number of houses are also without water as engineers work to fix the issue.
Cardiff council says Plasmawr and Mary Immaculate high schools are closed on Thursday, while Windsor Clive, Fairwater Primary, Pentrebane, St Francis and Danescourt primary schools are all shut for the day.
A statement from Cardiff Council said: "There's a burst water main in the Ely/ Caerau area. A number of houses are impacted and some schools are closed."

Welsh Water say they are aware of a burst pipe in the network and warned that people in the affected areas may see "low pressure or no water."
