Bullish Liam Palmer tells of Sheffield Wednesday confidence ahead of crunch promotion run-in

Liam Palmer has insisted both himself and his Sheffield Wednesday team-mates will give everything they've got ahead of their final three league games this season.

The Owls currently sit 4th in League One, just four points behind local rivals Rotherham United in second position too.

We just three games now remaining, it is thought Wednesday will have to take maximum points to stand any chance of automatic promotion, with Wycombe, Fleetwood and Portsmouth still to come.

Palmer, now 33, who was involved the last time the Owls were promoted from League One ten years ago, has ensured Wednesday know what needs to be done in order to achieve success.

When asked if Wednesday can win all three of their remaining fixtures this season, the 30-year-old admitted: "100%. I think that's all we can hope to do and that's all well set out to do.

"We will work as hard as we can, all the squad, the staff, like I've touched on before the momentum, we'll try to use anything, the fans and hopefully it then all aligns and we can come good.

"We don't need to go too ahead of ourselves, we've just got a 1-0 win there [most recent win over Crewe] and a big three points. Hopefully we can win on Saturday too."

Stretching their current unbeaten run to 8 games, Darren Moore's are the in-form team in the division, with only fellow play-off chasers Sunderland picking up as many points from their last six outings (14 points).
