Building fire shut major road in both directions

A building fire near a major road caused the road to be closed in both directions with traffic building up. Drivers going through Newport Road, between Machen and Caerphilly were warned as slow moving traffic built up along the major road as people leave work.

The A468, Newport Road was closed after a building fire was reported from Pant Glas Industrial Estate to Bryn-Y-Fran Avenue. Those driving in the Caerphilly were affected by the closure. The road has now reopened
