Bryan Mbeumo deal, striker signing, three exits - Manchester United dream end to transfer window

All the signs point towards the next couple of months being rather busy for Manchester United. The summer transfer window is open, and there is likely to be plenty of deals that get completed between now and the September 1 deadline.

United have already made one new signing this summer, with Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves in a £62.5million deal. That is expected to be the first of several deals that United will look to complete this summer ahead of Ruben Amorim's first full season in charge.

Amorim will be tasked with preparing the United squad for the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season, which gets underway on August 17 at home to Arsenal. United will hope to have the majority of their transfer business wrapped up by then, but there is still plenty of work to do to make that a reality.

Here, the Manchester Evening News takes a look at what could happen to create a dream scenario for United during the summer transfer window.

United will be hoping to complete the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in the near future.

A second offer has been made by United to the Bees as they aim to bring the Cameroon international to Old Trafford. It's understood the bid is worth in excess of £60million as United look to agree a deal for the forward.

If United can bring Mbeumo to the club this summer, it would be a major boost to the forward options at Amorim's disposal going into next season.

Even if United do get a deal for Mbeumo over the line, they would still need to bring a new striker to the club.

Liam Delap was a target before the striker completed a £30million move to Chelsea, so it's clear that United are keen to add a new centre forward to their ranks.
