Bruno Guimaraes' brilliant message to Newcastle United supporters after Brentford win

That was the brilliant tweet from Newcastle's new boy Bruno Guimaraes in the aftermath of the Magpies' win over Brentford.

The Brazilian international has been limited to brief cameo's off the bench since arriving at Newcastle from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnaise.

The Toon Army have been made to wait to see their £40million signing to get a decent taste of Premier League action.

Talk in the build-up to the fixture had been about Guimaraes potential involvement and Eddie Howe gave Newcastle fans and the Brazilian half-an-hour of action.

The 24-year-old midfielder retweeted a tweet from @GuimaraesZone with his stats of the game.

The Newcastle midfielder managed 41 passes, 2/3 long balls, 100% dribbles, 1/2 ground duels, 1/1 aerial duels and one clearance, as per the account.

Bruno tried to add some gloss to the scoreline with a long range effort but the Brazil international's effort curled wide.

It was an encouraging performance from the Newcastle midfielder as the Toon move up to 14th in the Premier League table after four wins in their last five games.
