Brock Lesnar: Major update on former WWE Champion's future
In the main event of WWE WrestleMania 38 night two, Brock Lesnar was defeated by Roman Reigns in their ‘Winner Takes All’ title v title match.
As such, Roman became the Unified WWE Universal Champion, becoming the first person to unify the WWE and Universal titles.
Brock was expected to hang around after WrestleMania, despite losing the big match, but that appeared to have changed.
Lesnar was originally advertised for the WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event on May 8, but he’s now been pulled from that.
WWE is no longer advertising ‘The Beast’ for the show, so unless something changes, he won’t be appearing.
This isn’t too surprising though, as usually after he loses big matches, Lesnar takes some time away from WWE before returning.
As of right now, there’s no word on when Brock is going to be back in WWE, but you have to suspect it’ll be at some point this summer.
June or July seems likely for his return, with Money in the Bank and SummerSlam two big pay-per-views that WWE could try and have Lesnar back for.
With regards to who he could face, for the first time in years, it seems like WWE is done with Lesnar v Reigns, so another opponent would have to be picked for him.

While Lesnar won’t be at WrestleMania Backlash, fans are going to be treated to another singles match between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, the first of which took place at WrestleMania this month.
Another bout booked for the show is an I Quit match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, which also took place at WrestleMania.
