Brock Lesnar look-a-like amongst ten WWE releases after failing to impress

Parker Boudreaux was brought into WWE in 2021 with a lot of fanfare, mainly due to his look.

The former footballer looked strikingly similar to Brock Lesnar, which generated a lot of buzz around the time of his signing.

Before Boudreaux had even signed with WWE, Paul Heyman tipped him to become a future star for the company, so the expectations were high.

That resulted in WWE locking him down to a contract, with the deal reportedly being sealed in February last year.

After some time training at the WWE Performance Center, Parker Bourdeaux was brought to NXT 2.0.

The Brock Lesnar look-a-like was brought in as Harland, the ally of Joe Gacy, back in October of last year.

He’d go on to make his in-ring debut in December of that year, but wasn’t as far along in his development as many fans would have hoped.

And yesterday, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that WWE had come to terms with the release of Harland.

It seems like his lack of development was the issue, as Sapp reports that WWE coaches were not happy with how Harland had been progressing with his training after signing 14 months ago.

Coaches and officials told us they felt like he’d not progressed in the ring quite enough for their liking.

Harland wasn’t the only name cut from WWE yesterday, with the following nine names also being let go by the company.

The most surprising names on the list were Dakota Kai, Malcolm Bivens and Dexter Lumis, all of whom have been regular fixtures on NXT for some time now.

As of right now, no members of either Raw or SmackDown were let go by WWE, as the releases only seemed to impact NXT.
