'Brilliant' Wolves ace Morgan Gibbs-White showing what makes him 'special' at Sheffield United

Morgan Gibbs-White produced another impressive performance in the midweek win over QPR at Bramall Lane. The Wolves loanee was named man of the match by supporters after the Rangers' defenders struggled to cope with his movement and skill.

It was yet another display that showed just how valuable he is to United's hopes of securing a top six finish. There could be even more importance placed on his performances depending on how long Billy Sharp is missing for but there was one moment in particular that stood out for Carl Asaba on Tuesday night.

The former Sheffield United striker is now part of the commentary team on Radio Sheffield as well as the studio guests with SUTV Live. And he was particularly impressed with Gibbs-White's run in the final minute.

With United unable to put the result beyond the reach of Mark Warburton's men, the match was still in the balance heading into the closing stages. Gibbs-White was sent scampering away in the 89th minute on the counter and it was a chance to take the ball into the corner flag, waste time and get his side up the pitch.

However, he had one thing on his mind as he burst towards goal and with four QPR players in hot pursuit as he cut inside from the left and curled an effort just wide of the goal. The fact that he wanted to still look for a second goal at this stage of the match, Asaba felt, was another example of why he is such a special player.

"He's brilliant," Asaba told SUTV Live afterwards. "In the 89th minute he's driving on trying to score the second, not going to the corner flag trying to hold it up. He's just a delight to watch.

"My kids were here tonight again in the stands and I am just so happy they are getting to see him and all the Blades are getting to see him.
