Brilliant viral video shows Trent Alexander-Arnold really is redefining the right-back role

If we are being honest, there has never been a right-back in the Premier League quite like Trent Alexander-Arnold.

While Trent may be classified as a ‘defender’, he certainly doesn’t act like one, and has been Liverpool‘s most creative player since breaking into the first team in 2017.

Now, at the age of 23, Trent is recognised as one of the best fullbacks in the world, with some even saying that he’s transformed the position.

And looking at the compilation below, which showcases some of Trent’s insane passes and assists, as well as some of his goals,§ it’s hard to argue that that’s not the case.

Trent has 17 assists in all competitions this season, which for context, is nine more than Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

Trent has transformed his role even more this season, seemingly coming into central positions more than he has in previous campaigns, as can be seen below.

Fans have now reacted to the clip, and safe to say that many are convinced that Trent is one of the best in the world right now, as can be seen below.

In fact, one fan even claimed that Trent is the greatest fullback to ever play football, which is certainly high praise for the England international.

He’s the goat RB already I’ve seen da light

No right back comes close in the history of the sport
