Brendan Rodgers gets new nickname as Celtic Hotline hardliner tells boss to swerve Leicester City arrogance

Celtic and Rangers fans have been critical of their own teams as they fail to impress in a nervy Scottish Premiership title battle.

And fans of their rivals don’t like what they see either from the country’s two biggest clubs with the Glasgow giants coming under fire on the Hotline for their respective weekend displays as they recorded wins over St Mirren and Dundee by the same 2-1 scoreline.

Tam Williamson, Lanarkshire, said: “I watched two matches on Sunday and both Rangers and Celtic are rubbish. Rangers could have lost points to St Mirren who gave as good as they got only to lose to a Cyriel Dessers gift that Stephen Robinson’s mother in law, who is helping the Buddies players with the mental side of the game, could have nodded home. Give the guy a chance – he is just back in the team. I think both lots are desperate to get over the line and sense is at a premium.”

It’s maybe no surprise that neither Philippe Clement nor Brendan Rodgers are in the running for the Manager of the Year award given the reaction to their displays. PFA
