Two air ambulances landed in a Tesco car park this evening amid reports of a crash involving a motorbike. Emergency services attended the scene of the ongoing incident on Manchester Road East (A6) in Walkden.

Pictures show two air ambulances in the car park of the nearby Tesco Extra superstore, with a number of police vehicles and ambulances at the scene on a busy Manchester Road East.

Police blocked off the main road amid the incident which was reportedly a crash involving a motorbike. Horrified onlookers could be seen watching on as emergency services responded this evening.

There are a number of police cars at the scene blocking off Manchester Road East in both directions following the reported collision.

We understand there are at least two ambulances and an incident response car on the scene.

An eyewitness who saw the incident has reported a crash involved a motorbike and a car.

They have told the M.E.N that a motorbike had two riders sat on it. They said the bike hit the side of a car before one of the passengers was thrown over the top.

"There were loads of people around them. People were getting out of cars and running across the road," they said.

"I heard the guy on the floor just screaming in pain - it was horrible."

There are unconfirmed reports of a crash on Manchester Road East (A6) this evening that involved a car and a motorbike.
