BREAKING: Teenage boy rushed to hospital after stabbing in Salford park - live updates

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital this afternoon following reports of a stabbing. The 15-year-old remains in hospital care after the incident in Albert Park, Salford at around 4pm.

Police rushed to the scene and cordoned off the corner of the park, at the entrance just off Great Clowes Street. Pictures from the scene show numerous police vehicles and forensics carrying out enquiries.

Two arrests have been made, with both males remaining in custody at this time. The nature of the victim's injuries are not yet known.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called to Albert Park Road in Salford to a report of a stabbing at 4pm today (31 May 2022).

"Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital where he remains.

"A cordon is in place and detectives are carrying out an investigation. Two males have been arrested and remain in custody at this time."
