BREAKING: Woman, 50, taken to hospital after stabbing at property

A 50-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being stabbed at a property in Oldham.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident on Blanche Walk, off Egerton Street, just before 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday). Police officers were called to 'a report of a stabbing at an address'.

The woman was taken to hospital from the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests have been made at this stage. An investigation has been launched.

Eyewitness reported seeing a large police presence in the area yesterday, with Tactical Aid Unit officers and crime scene investigators at the scene. Anyone who has any information is being urged to get in touch with police.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a stabbing at an address on Blanche Walk in Oldham just before 2.30pm yesterday (15 June 2022). Emergency services attended and a 50-year-old woman was taken to hospital.

"Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening. No arrests have been made and an investigation is on-going.
