BREAKING: Crime scene tape in place around houses after serious incident - latest updates

A number of houses in Levenshulme are cordoned off with crime scene tape this morning.

The cordon is in place around multiple terraced properties on Rushmere Avenue. Pictures show tape in place around the front of the houses.

A number of officers are at the scene. According to eyewitnesses, police have reportedly been on the scene since last night.

A stretch of the street was reportedly taped off last night. Ambulance were also reportedly spotted on the scene.

The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police have been contacted for further information.
