Bray Wyatt: Former WWE star drops major hint on return to company

Nearly one year on from his shocking WWE departure, Bray Wyatt has hinted at a return to the company. 

Bray was surprising released from his WWE contract on 31 July 2021, as WWE cited ‘budget cuts’ behind the reason for the latest slew of outgoing talent from the company. This despite Wyatt being one of the biggest merchandise sellers and most popular acts in WWE.

Since his release the Eater of Worlds has shied away from the spotlight, choosing to not to sign with another company and is yet to wrestle a match since he last competed for WWE. 

In June, the 35-year-old broke his silence to post some cryptic tweets alluding to a possible return to the industry, stating ‘Patience. It’s almost time’. However, there has been very little follow-up to the meaning behind his messages. 

Now, the former WWE Champion has dropped an even bigger hint on a possible WWE comeback by subtly changing the bio on his Twitter account. It now boasts a reference to advice he was given by Vince McMahon, stating “Begin again kid, it’s what you do” with the initials VKM following the quote.

A Wyatt return isn’t unexpected and given he hasn’t made the jump to wrestle for another company, the door is wide open for a dramatic return to the fold. 

Interestingly the timing of the tease comes less than two weeks before one of WWE’s biggest events of the year, SummerSlam. One which has seen some massive returns in the past, notably last year when we saw both Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch make their comebacks. 

SummerSlam also played host to the first appearance of Bray Wyatt’s last WWE creation ‘The Fiend’, when he debuted in 2019 and defeated Finn Balor.
