Bradford Bulls extend deadline for applicants as Nigel Wood provides update on head coach vacancy

Bradford Bulls have provided an update on the club’s search for a new head coach. John Kear left the West Yorkshire side in April by mutual consent after four years in charge, with Bradford now stepping up their push to find a replacement.

The club say there has been significant interest in applicants from both the UK and overseas, and the club have reported their recruitment process is going as planned.

“We have been impressed by the quality and the calibre of a number of well-known coaches from both sides of the world,” Bulls chairman Nigel Wood told the club website. “It goes without saying that this is a very important appointment for the club and our selection process needs to be thorough and rigorous.

“We are in a fortunate position that we continue to be in safe hands under Interim Head Coach Mark Dunning, affording us the opportunity to run a thorough recruitment process. While we absolutely want to keep supporters up to date and informed, we hope everyone will understand that we won’t be delivering a running commentary.”

Bradford are still encouraging coaches to apply for the job but will close applications on June 5th before drawing up a shortlist of applicants.
